Slimming World Yogurt Dip

Trish's Yoghurt Dip

This simple and easy to make dip is ideal for adding to a jacket potato, as a topping for chillis or curry or just as a simple dip. I make this every week and always have a large pot in my fridge on hand.

Ingredients

Equal measures of Fat Free Fromage Frais & Fat free Greek Yogurt or zero Total yoghurt. Add the following however you can really add whatever spices you like however I have used the following with great success:

Dried Mint - 2 tsp
Garlilc Salt - 2 tsp
Celery salt - 1tsp
Can use fat free Greek as alternative
Sea Salt -  1 tsp
Black Pepper - good sprinkle
touch of cinnamon
touch of paprika
finely chopped spring onion
finely chopped cucumber
finely chopped coriander
diced gerkins & or tablespoon of capers
1/4 juice one fresh lemon or squirt of lemon jiff (better with fresh though) (important ingredient & does make a differece to the taste)
clove of fresh garlic or half tsp of dried chilli if you prefer a dip with a kick

Simply mix together and put in tuppaware dish to store in fridge. Should keep fresh for aprox 4 - 5 days although mine does not tend to last that long. You will note there are quite a few superfree foods in here such as cucumber, spring onion, so go and Enjoy! - Syn Free

The Fast Diet

The  Fast Diet by Dr Michael Mosley & Mimi Spencer

Is this just another diet book? Actually no its not, this is finally the book that can at long last find us as a nation getting healthier, and lighter. The title really says it all - "Lose Weight, Stay Healthy, Live Longer" and it does exactly what it says on the tin and there are many testimonials to back it up.

Why does this diet book make sense?  When the author Dr Michael Mosley whom is a medical journalist with the BBC first alerted us to this book, he did so only after presenting us with some amazing and scientific facts. As a 55yr old guy who was getting to the age when being overweight was causing other problems and could lead to an onset of diabetes he decided to see if all the scientific facts of dieting added up. Discovering that he did you can read how and why fasting in the way he describes really does work. The best bit about this is that for the rest of the week you can eat and drink normally and you will still lose weight. Is it too good to be true?..... Well according to one of the many testimonials I think not...

A busy mum with 3 children writes " This diet fits beautifully round my social life, as the fast days are so flexible. Its not that hard to resist temptation for one day because I know the next day I can have donut or a curry and a few glasses of wine if I want  and without feeling guilty. The proof is, literally, in the pudding, I have been eating like this but sticking to my 500 cals on a fast days I am still losing the weight"
